At the end of the 17th century, a Jesuit discovered medicinal waters in a bend in the River Asur or Mayor near the Molinar ironworks. A short time later, the inhabitants of the Carranza Valley asked the Town Hall to provide the necessary installations.
It is now set in a park and surrounded by lush vegetation.
